Mark A. Taylor, CFP®
After graduating from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo with a BS in Business Administration, Mark took three months to travel to Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand. After three years in international trade with World Imports, Inc., he entered the financial services industry in 1983.Mark became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ while on the professional staff of the International Financial Planning Group. Next, he was an Investment Specialist for a pension consulting firm before starting his own financial services firm in 1991, which he continues to run while being a Investment Advisor Representative with Mutual Advisors.
Mark has enjoyed volunteering by serving on a number of non-profit boards, was the Treasurer for the City of San Clemente for nine years, and is active in Rotary International. Mark lives with his wife Nancy in San Clemente, while keeping track of their two sons Matt and Josh. Mark spends his recreational time traveling, surfing, sailing, and hiking. After taking sailing courses and honing their skills, Mark and Nancy chartered a boat and sailed the British Virgin Islands, fulfilling bucket list item #1.
